Britain is preparing to sanction Israel over building tenders at E1, as Ed Miliband says it destroys the two-state solution. But the two-state solution was never a binding outcome of the Oslo Accords — and whatever survived of it was destroyed on 7 October 2023 by invasion, rape, kidnap and murder.
What this really destroys is Britain’s reputation. The Palestinian cause has been nothing but a burden here: ruined businesses, attacks on synagogues and ambulances, Jews murdered at prayer. Now a small, vocal minority has bullied the government into trashing our foreign policy – timed around a by-election and a party conference. Appeasement never satisfies. It only signals weakness.
